Mr. Kennedy began his career in public service by joining the US Air Force in 1992, where he rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. During his service, he served in various leadership roles, including Assistant Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of Radiology and Squadron Safety NCO. Mr. Kennedy was honorably discharged from the Air Force after 10 years of service.
Mr. Kennedy continued public service as a Firefighter/EMT for the Forsyth Township Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services. In this capacity, Mr. Kennedy rose to the rank of Ladder Captain and was the Training Officer for Emergency Medical Services.
Mr. Kennedy started a law enforcement career in 2010 at Conway Police Department. He has been a member of the Honor Guard, and has worked in Patrol, Narcotics, and CID. He was selected to represent Conway PD as a Task Force Officer for the Drug Enforcement Administration for two years. He has risen to the rank of Lieutenant and currently oversees personal and property crimes investigations. He also serves as the Field Force Commander and Sex Offender Coordinator.
Mr. Kennedy is a graduate from the US Air Force Airman Leadership School at Luke AFB, AZ, the University of Arkansas Criminal Justice Institute School of Law Enforcement Supervision and Arkansas Leader programs, and holds a Law Enforcement Degree from Southern Arkansas University Tech.
Mr. Kennedy is a member of New Life Church in Conway. He has been married to his wife, Cortney, since 2018. The couple enjoy raising 4 children, camping, trail rides, concerts, and meeting with their church life group.
